Visit of young German farmers/students to Turopolje

On 29th of March 2017, young pig farmers and agricultural students from Germany (organised by Junge ISN; Interessengemeinschaft der Schweinehalter Deutschlands), which unite 11,000 pig breeders, were hosted by UNIZG and POT in Turopolje region, during their study tour to Croatia. During the visit, the guests from Germany were introduced with region history, Turopolje pig breed and TREASURE project. They visited the POT farm in Lukavec where they were able to see a traditional outdoor farming system of Turopolje pig. Also, the pork products, which have been produced as a part of the TREASURE project activities, were presented and offered for tasting.
